Zentipede Being Philosophical in the Corner; Heavenly Officials and Mortals
The novel has taught me few things about life, even though it’s about two gay men finding each other after 800 years. One of those things are; Gods are garbage like humans.
They’re almost the same, both are inflicted on bad things like: gossip, corruption, bribery, framing and more we don’t know about. The worst part is Heavenly Officials assume they’re more pure than an average mortal. They act as if they weren’t born with a silver spoon (having the tools to ascend) or haven’t been mortal in the beginning of their existence. When Xie Lian stole for money, the Gods from the land acted like he’s corrupted from doing so.
My reaction was, « Sir, you have mortal worshippers, how could you not know they don’t have a choice?? What would you do, st…
Hua Cheng is not arrogant
Most might think he's very arrogant, however I think it's just his personality. I don't remember what chapter it was or what was happening at that time, but Hua Cheng face was mischievous but E-Ming in his grasp was tight. That meant he didn't underestimate his opponent.
When someone has arrogance, it means their head is filled with high false perception of themself. Hua Cheng is just confident in his abilities and it's true.
Qi Rong rant
This is about Qi Rong's relationship with Gu Zi. Near the end of the novel, he declares Gu Zi is his son and sacrifices himself for the child. I think it's sweet and all... but I still would rather Gu Zi be with someone else than Qi Rong and his biological father.
Why? The reason is I don't want my son to learn how to devore a human.
Ships that are inferior to Hualian
Did you really think I'd discriminate against other ships? Over my dead body! Every ship is beautiful and filled with meaning. What? You ship with BW with XL? A little weird but I can't judge your choices.
