The Three Tumors (三毒瘤, Sān Dúliú) is a name given to a trio of Heavenly Officials who share a terrible reputation among the Heavens, but a close friendship with one another. This group consists of Ling Wen, Pei Ming and Shi Wudu.[1]
When together they would greet each other politely and begin to flatter each other in a saccharine, overblown way that sounds fake to anyone.[2] Despite also enjoying teasing each other ruthlessly the three consider each other a kind of family, as when Ling Wen was accused of having a child, Shi Wudu was noted to be ready to give a red envelope for his 'nephew'.[3]
Ling Wen[]
Massively disliked by other Heavenly Officials. Other Civil Gods saw her as an upstart because women are not supposed to hold office. They often talked behind her back about how much better they would do her job if only they were allowed the chance. Meanwhile, other Heavenly Official believed she gained her position through aggressive boot-licking, seducing the higher power, disguising herself as a man or a combination of all three.
Despite well-known to be professional and hard to rattle, Ling Wen broke those characteristics when either of her two friends are in danger.[4] Whenever they needed her she would always be willing to take action and help them.
Pei Ming[]
One of the strongest Martial Gods who is also known as the God of Love because of his promiscuous way. Ling Wen joked that as long as a woman is in a folktale, there will be a story out there where Pei Ming seduces her.[1] This promiscuity is so infamous that the moment any scandals involving a woman crop up in the heaven, everyone would immediately think Pei Ming is responsible, such as during the fetus spirit incident. When it turned out that Pei Ming wasn't the father, even Ling Wen and Shi Wudu were disappointed.[5]
Shi Wudu[]
The strongest Elemental Master and one of the wealthiest as he's also worshiped as the God of Fortune. Because he would capsize any ship that did not give him offerings, he has gained the title of "Water Tyrant".
Trivia[]
- Each of them are the strongest of their respective Heavenly Faction, with Pei Ming second only to Jun Wu in the realm of Martial Gods, Ling Wen being the foremost Civil God and Shi Wudu being the strongest Elemental Master with the highest number of followers after the Heavenly Emperor himself.
- They sat together at the Mid Autumn Festival Banquet, poking fun at each other and watching the mortal plays together.[2][6]
- They went to a mountain hot spring together for tuina massage after the festival.[7]
- Shi Qingxuan hates that his brother is close with the other two, wishing that Shi Wudu would break up from the Three Tumors.[1]
