The Villainous State Preceptor, Gilded Banquet Awash in Blood (黑国师血洗鎏金宴,Hēi Guóshī Xuèxǐ Liújīn Yàn) is the 45th chapter of the Heaven Official's Blessing novel.
Summary[]
Everyone is rather shocked that Lang Qianqiu addresses Xie Lian as Fang Xin Guoshi with anger.
Pei Ming in the sidelines explains that Guoshi Fang Xin was a proud person and would never show his face. Lang Qianqiu must’ve never known his identity. Shi Qingxuan becomes annoyed that he’s implying Xie Lian is his past teacher.
Jun Wu appears and heals Xie Lian’s bleeding arm with one tap. The medical officials take Ming Yi away for treatment. Jun Wu asks in the Martial Hall why Lang Qianqiu won’t let Xie Lian go.
Lang Qianqiu explains that many hundreds of years ago Xie Lian altered his name to Fang Xin, slaughtered his clan and brought ruin to his kingdom. He then requests for a duel.
Ling Wen adds more details that Fang Xin was the savior and the teacher of prince Yong'an. He’s infamous for the bloodbath of the Yong’an monarchy; that event took place on the night of the seventeenth birthday of Lang Qianqiu. He wasn’t killed because he arrived late to the party, once he found out about the massacre he captured Guoshi and killed him. Lang Qianqiu later sealed his corpse underground.
Many gods are amazed the Laughing Stock of the Three Realms is not a fool to commit revenge this aggressive. Lang Qianqiu justifies his claims by saying he’s familiar with Guoshi Fang Xin’s swordsmanship, thus he can recognize Xie Lian’s. To prouve, Lang Qianqiu asks for a sword. A martial god throws it at him and then he forces it to Xie Lian.
He ignores Lang Qianqiu’s offer to fight and concedes to Jun Wu that he did in fact slaughter the clan. Xie Lian requests him to banish him again to the mortal realm. Lang Qianqiu refuses for him to go and asks for a fight to the death. Xie Lian states plainly that he will for sure die if Lang Qianqiu goes against him.
