Quell Yong'an; Crown Prince Enters the Battlefield (平永安太子上战场, "Píng Yǒngān Tàizǐ Shàng Zhànchǎn") is the 78th chapter of the Heaven Official's Blessing novel.
Summary[]
Feng Xin and Mu Qing chase after Xie Lian, but it’s too late. He reveals himself in front of the Xianle citizens, promising that he will shield the kingdom and protect the common people. They are overjoyed about the news that the Crown Prince will be fighting against the Yong'an refugees. The guards remove the people around Xie Lian as they were getting too close.
Xie Lian returns to the palace and for once, doesn't argue with his father. Xie Lian now understands how vexing it is to be a king when smaller parties all have their own plans. It would take weeks to debate, and few of them are even saying to exterminate Yong'an completely.
The family of three who died in front of the gates were a great catalyst to start a war that looks like the common folks rebelling against an oppressive authority.
It takes a while before a large number of young men enlist in the military to fight alongside Xie Lian. The soldiers say Lang Ying is rather terrifying in battle because of his great skill, but the Yong'an refugees become quiet when they hear a God joined the Xianle army. Two months later though, Yong’an attacks again, but it only takes two hours before the bloody battle ends and Xianle remains victorious.
After that, the soldiers celebrate, but Xie Lian goes outside for some fresh air. He’s still shaken by the fact he had killed thousands for the first time. When Mu Qing and Feng Xin arrive, Mu Qing worriedly explains that Yong’an is becoming stronger with their new formations and weapons. Feng Xin is confused by their sudden power and thinks something is amiss.
Suddenly, Xie Lian feels someone's presence and unsheathes his sword.
