Puqi Shrine is the shrine Xie Lian inhabits after his third ascension.[1]
Description[]
The shrine is located on a hill in Puqi Village. It was originally a small, run down shack that would creak with every wind and where most of the columns were rotten through. When Xie Lian moved in, he made an effort to tidy the place up and transform it into a small shrine for the Crown Prince of Xianle.[1] In front of the shrine stood a sign asking for donations and support.
The inside of the shrine was modest. There was a long altar table, two small stools, a small cushion and a donation box. As a bed Xie Lian used a simple straw mat,[2] while for bathing he used a water barrel.[3]
San Lang painted a portrait of the crown prince that now hangs above the altar.[2] He also replaced the temporary curtains at the entrance for an actual proper wooden door.[4]
History[]
The shrine ultimately collapses when Ling Wen and Quan Yizhen fight against each other near it, with the monks and cultivators there at the time also contributing to it when they launch their weapons at Xie Lian. The blows of the battle are too much to handle for Puqi Shrine's old walls, thus it falls apart.[5]
It was renovated with the gold left by Quan Yizhen.

- When Xie Lian wasn't out collecting scraps, he would host lectures in Puqi Shrine on how to identify evil.[3]
