Ghost Bridegroom[]
Nan Feng decides to accompany Xie Lian on his mission to Yu Jun Mountain together with Fu Yao, a subordinate of Mu Qing. They meet him in a teahouse and Nan Feng introduces himself as a deputy god of Nan Yang palace.[1]
After discussing the repeated cases of brides getting kidnapped in the region, they decide to seek shelter in a nearby Nan Yang temple overnight. Nan Feng quickly becomes annoyed by Fu Yao's intense criticism of the statue, but goes completely frozen when he sees Xiao-Ying enter the temple.[2]
When Fu Yao later ridicules Feng Xin's status as "Ju Yang", they start to physically fight each other until Nan Feng notices Xie Lian attempting to eat a dirty steamed bun, slapping it out of his hand.[3]
Later on, Nan Feng and Fu Yao accompany Xie Lian with few military officials. Xie Lian is in the sedan disguised as a bride to lure out the Ghost Bridegroom. They walk for a while until they get attacked by Base Slaves and wolves. Nan Feng and Fu Yao try to fend them off, but there's too many. Xie Lian orders them to leave, so they do in the end.[4]
He later arrives at the Ming Guang temple which Xie Lian was led to.[5] After much difficulty, Nan Feng’ duty is ended when Pei Xiu comes to arrest Xuan Ji, who’s responsible for the kidnapping of brides.
He later sets the dead brides on the ground in a respectable manner.[6] However, he becomes shocked when Xie Lian informs him that the bandaged boy who was accused of being the ghost bridegroom has the Human Face Disease.
Nan Feng returns to heaven after finishing his job.[7]

He offers help to Xie Lian to investigate the Banyue Pass after he hears about it in the communication array.
