Nan Feng (南风, Nán Fēng) is a Heavenly Official of the Middle Court and subordinate of Feng Xin. He often accompanied Xie Lian on his missions in the mortal realm alongside Fu Yao.[1]

Appearance[]

Nan Feng is a young man said to look around eighteen to nineteen years old like Fu Yao, although Nan Feng is slightly taller. Strapping and unbridled, he has an overall brightly handsome appearance. While his brows are deep, his eyes are said to carry a sort of unrestrained wildness.[1][2]

Personality[]

Nan Feng is a serious, straightforward and confident youth. He's shown to be concerned about the well-being of others, but is also someone to quickly become annoyed and lose his temper.[2][3] He is often seen cursing and yelling, acting and speaking impulsively rather than thoughtfully.[4]

Although he has a forceful nature, he is willing to listen to others[5] and instinctively protects the surrounding people, even at the risk of his own safety.[6] He is noted to have a sharp thought process and not be careless about work affairs, similarly to Fu Yao.[2]

He becomes extremely nervous when around women, freezing and becoming pale quickly when in their proximity.[2]

Trivia[]

  • His symbolic animal in the manhua is a dog as shown in official art by the manhua artist and actual chapters.[7]
  • Nan Feng is an alter ego of Feng Xin.[8]
    • His name is a combination of Nan (南, Nán) from Feng Xin's title Nan Yang (南阳, Nán Yáng) and Feng (风, Fēng) from his name Feng Xin (风信, Fēng Xìn) itself.
