The Queen of Xianle warns Xie Lian not to drink what's inside the small jaded cup. She explains that she squeezed the berries into it for fun.
After chatting more, his mother asks about the Heavenly Procession’s modifications, Qi Rong abruptly joins the conversation by saying it wasn’t Xie Lian’s fault but the little child he rescued.
The Queen of Xianle asks who the fourth person is, Xie Lian says his name is Mu Qing and he played the ghost role. She compliments Mu Qing for having extraordinary skills of using the sabre.
Qi Rong is about to throw the Queen of Xianle's cup at Mu Qing but Xie Lian stops him. Qi Rong says he deserves it because he was enjoying himself in the Heavenly Procession without Xie Lian around.
Xie Lian remembers the previous incident and asks his mother to take away his golden carriage, Qi Rong tells its Queen of Xianle’s gift to him. In rage, he leaves the palace. Xie Lian’s mother says she gave him the carriage because Qi Rong wanted to bring his cousin home from Mount Taicang whenever they had the opportunity.
Qi Rong is hard to control, even Guoshi would rather die than take him as his disciple. He only listens to Xie Lian.
That evening, Xie Lian leaves the palace and accompanies Mu Qing to make a visit to his home. Few children come and call Mu Qing as Gege. He gives them his berries, Feng Xin is astonished by his actions.
Suddenly, a loud boom of shrieking bourses and people screaming. Xie Lian rushes out of the alleyway, it’s Qi Rong again with his carriage. He asks Feng Xin to stop him. Xie Lian sees behind a carriage has a bloody gunny sack tied with a rope. It seems as if a person was struggling inside. He cuts open it and indeed there’s a young child curled into a ball. Xie Lian picks him up and yells Feng Xin to arrest Qi Rong.
Once he’s stopped, Xie Lian angrily scolds him. The child twitches because of his sudden anger, Xie Lian soothes him and asks where he feels pain. The child is hiding his other eye and refuses to show him.
