Lost Crescentian (半月迷踪, Bànyuè Mí Zōng) is the sixth episode of the donghua based on the Heaven Official's Blessing novel written by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu. It was aired on the 28st November 2020. It was edited the following day due to discrepancies with the novel, such as Hong Jing's blade being red.
Summary[]
The episode begins with the disease-ridden man waking up inside of Puqi Shrine. Still in panic and distress, he explains that he escaped from Banyue Pass, a place in the Gobi Desert where merchants and travelers frequently went missing. Xie Lian notices that the man is not human, so he grabs him. The man's arm suddenly deflates, and he tries to flee, but San Lang impales his ankle with a chopstick which causes him to completely crumble.
Xie Lian and San Lang examine the puppet before Xie Lian decides to consult the heaven's communication array. It turns out the Wind Master has returned and is giving out merits, so the Heavenly Officials are distracted. They ignore Xie Lian's attempt of bringing up Banyue, but Ling Wen advises him to stay out of it.
While Xie Lian is cleaning up, San Lang tells him about the former State Preceptor of Banyue when suddenly there's a knock on the door. It turns out Fu Yao and Nan Feng have come back to accompany Xie Lian on his journey to Banyue. They notice San Lang and immediately interrogate him, quickly enraged due to San Lang's teasing and prepared to use spiritual powers against him. Xie Lian calms them down and Nan Feng starts to draw the Distance Shortening Array.
Thanks to the spell, they arrive in a small town in the night and continue to make their way through the desert until the next day. During the walk, Xie Lian offers his sedge hat to San Lang when he complains about the heat. San Lang watches Xie Lian's face as he ties the hat straps before refusing and returning it. The group finds an abandoned house to rest in, so Fu Yao and Nan Feng use the opportunity to further investigate San Lang's true identity. Fu Yao offers him Form Revealing Water, but it has no effect on him. Nan Feng tries to give him Hong Jing, a sword that reveals one's true form, but it breaks as San Lang pulls it out of the sheath, also providing no answers.
Xie Lian notices two female figures running while looking out the window. They suspect one to be Banyue's State Preceptor, so they decide to follow them. A heavy sandstorm erupts around them, causing the group to lose the two runners. As the four manage to find each other in the storm, another argument erupts with Fu Yao remarking that the wind couldn't possibly blow them into the sky. Right after, Xie Lian suddenly gets blown away by the wind. Caught up in the storm, he orders Ruoye to grab something solid but it ends up grabbing San Lang.
