Land of the Tender are flower demons that feast on the blood and essence of men.[1]
Description[]
Land of the Tender are female demons with the ability to shape-shift. They naturally appear in the form of bright, red flowers with poisonous thorns all over the stem, but they can transform into actual women. The demons have a consciousness and playful personalities, often giggling and teasing the men they encounter. They are known to gather together to hunt for their victims by releasing a potent fragrance.[1]
Burning them will emit poisonous gas.[1]
Fragrance[]
The fragrance of these demons serves as a method to make their victims impetuous. It's transmitted by breathing it in and no scratching or biting is needed, although it doesn't seem to have a smell. First symptoms include numbness in the limbs, a sudden wave of dizziness and a burning feeling of the insides. The affected person becomes unable to properly speak and walk due to the symptoms. They also become sensitive to sound around them. Following the first outbreak of symptoms, the second sign will begin: mania. [1]
History[]
Xie Lian encounters Land of the Tender demons after saving Qi Rong on Beizi Hill. He finds a dying woman, using up his medicine to treat her. She suddenly clings onto him and refuses to let go, even after being stabbed by Hua Cheng. She ultimately dies, but they notice she had a red Land of the Tender flower in her hair and thus infected Xie Lian with the fragrance. He immediately begins to show symptoms, and the rest of the red flowers around them start to giggle and tease them. [1]
