Cuo Cuo (错错, Cuò Cuò) is a Fierce rank ghost known as the fetus spirit, as well as the son of Feng Xin and Jian Lan.[1]

Appearance[]

"Rather than say it was a fetus, it was more like a deformed little monster."

Cuo Cuo is a small ghost with blanched white skin, abnormally large, but shining eyes and a few strands of blondish hair. He has extremely sharp teeth, as well as a long, dark red tongue like that of a snake. He is said to move like a lizard, crawling in a very agile and quick matter.[2]

Personality[]

History[]

Early Life[]

He was forcefully cut out from his mother's womb before he was born, and it was suspected that the person who did it was Mu Qing. Cuo Cuo then became a malicious fetus spirit who fed off the other growing children of pregnant women. He was actually searching for his mother, whom he later reunites with.

Relationships[]

Jian Lan[]

Cuo Cuo loves and cares about his mother, having searched for her for centuries. Although Cuo Cuo usually acts aggressive and ferocious, he's rather gentle with his mother and listens to her, especially once she gets angry.[1]

Feng Xin[]

He deeply despises his father, frequently attacking and biting him.[1] In return, Feng Xin struggles to acknowledge Cuo Cuo as his son,[3] however he still feels responsibility towards him and Jian Lan, thus he even asked the Heavenly Court to not attack either of them.[4] Although Cuo Cuo was usually disobedient towards him,[3] during the final battle he finally listens to Feng Xin and even cheers him on when he was fighting off the lava spirits that had been attacking Cuo Cuo beforehand.[3]

White No-Face[]

Cuo Cuo is one of White No-Face's subordinates, thus others assume White No-Face would never do anything to him. Their exact relationship is unknown, but Cuo Cuo seems to be cautious around him.[5]

Trivia[]

  • It's later revealed that the singing voice Xie Lian heard during his first mission which took place on Yu Jun Mountain was Cuo Cuo.
  • “C” sound in Chinese is pronounced “Tss”, so “Cuo Cuo” sounds like “Ts-woh ts-woh”.
  • “Cuo” means “wrong” or “a mistake”. Doubling a word in a name usually makes it cute or kiddish.
