Summary[]
From the sound of that persons steps Xie Lian deduces that they have a limp. Suddenly he hears a swishing sound - the ghost groom is ripping veils from the brides faces. He launches an attack with Ruoye, but they manage to run. Xie Lian rushes after them, but he crashes into a bandaged boy that's standing just outside the temple.
A bunch of men with torches hastily appear, saying that they caught the ghost bridegroom. Nan Feng and Fu Yao come with them and deny that claim. One of the men grabs the bandaged boy by his hair and the girl from before runs to them, asking them to stop and saying that he is innocent. The leader still insists on killing him, hoping to be rewarded with gold. The chapter ends with Xie Lian asking Nan Feng to stop him.
