Summary[]
Xie Lian walks inside, wondering why Pei Ming's temple was hidden behind the ghost grooms barrier formation, quickly ruling out the idea that they were working together. The altar, statue and other religious items are clean as if someone was tending to them everyday, but he suddenly finds the seventeen missing brides standing in a row, already long deceased.
He notices the missing brides standing neatly in two rows with make-up intact, as if they were poisoned even before they left their palanquins. Suddenly a strange sound could be heard, as if someone was coming. Xie Lian quickly takes one of the brides' veils and pretends to be one of them. The temple doors slowly creak open.
