The Person Behind It All (背后之人, Bèihòu Zhī Rén) is the 54th chapter of the manhua based on the Heaven Official's Blessing novel written by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu. It was published on 12th of June 2021.
Summary[]
Xie Lian tells Pei Xiu there is no need to hide anymore. Fu Yao finds the idea of an important Heavenly Official descending without notice preposterous, but Xie Lian suggests that he may have used a clone instead of his own body. It's known that Pei Xiu has slaughtered a city before ascension which he ultimately concludes to be Banyue Kingdom. Thanks to multiple incidents he is also able to tell that A-Zhao must be that said clone.
Hearing all this, Fu Yao quietly disappears. A-Zhao, confirmed to actually be Pei Xiu, enters the scene with Ban Yue draped over his shoulder. Once he speaks, Kemo recognizes him to be Pei Xiu as well, immediately becoming enraged. Pei Xiu explains that he learned the technique to control the Scorpion Snakes and when Xie Lian questions how he and Ban Yue met, Xie Lian realizes that Pei Xiu is her childhood friend that she often spent time with.
