Revisiting the Past (往事重谈, Wǎngshì Chóng Tán) is the 51st chapter of the manhua based on the Heaven Official's Blessing novel written by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu. It was published on the 23rd of January 2021.
Summary[]
The State Preceptor calls Xie Lian by the title "General Hua", which helps Xie Lian recognize her as Ban Yue. Fu Yao strikes Kemo unconscious and asks if the tombstone they found belongs to him. Xie Lian confirms this, explaining that he wandered to the Banyue border a long time ago. Originally he only wanted to collect scraps, but he was appointed to the Yong'an army when soldiers came through recruiting people.
Back then, Ban Yue was among the orphans at the border. She was bullied and was only friends with one Yong'an boy. San Lang points out how the tombstone said he died, so Xie Lian explains what really transpired. He tried to settle a dispute between Yong'an and Banyue, but was attacked by both sides instead. He played dead and was ultimately thrown into the river. Ban Yue apologizes to him, saying he went onto the battlefield because of her that day.
