Summary[]
Xie Lian takes off his robe to change his bandages and admits that he didn't fight with anyone, but had a hard landing when jumping down to the mortal realm. Fu Yao and Nan Feng seem surprised and disgruntled when they see the cursed shackle on Xie Lians neck. Then they go back to talking about how to deal with the ghost bridegroom - Fu Yao suggests to kill him, while Nan Feng tells him to shut up and hits him with an apple. Xie Lian says that this is not a bad idea, but first they have to catch the ghost.
They decide that the best course of action would be having someone to pretend to be a newlywed bride to bait him out, but quickly they come against the first issue - the ghost bridegroom is too powerful and so it would be too dangerous for a woman. And so Xie Lian finds himself in a red wedding robe. His two helpers are disgusted with how he looks and even the Crown Prince admits, that if he were the ghost groom, then he would kill such an ugly woman. While he's fixing his veil the girl from before comes back. She gives back his robe and a jar of ointment for external injuries, thanking him for his help. Then she tells them about an innocent boy who lives on the mountain and a group of people who plan to kill him, thinking he's the ghost bridegroom. The girl wants to stop them, so she asks if she can help the Heavenly Officials, because she's good at makeup and making clothing alterations. The gods agree after thinking through it for a while.
