Meeting an Old Friend (却逢故人, Què Féng Gùrén) is the 48th chapter of the manhua based on the Heaven Official's Blessing novel written by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu. It was published on the 2nd of January 2021.
Summary[]
The Imperial Preceptor of Banyue asks if the soldiers were killed by Xie Lian and San Lang, but Xie Lian exclaims it was an accident. She removes the array for them, so they can leave when suddenly Fu Yao shouts from the top of the pit. Xie Lian asks him to come down and Fu Yao shoots fire into the pit to lighten the surrounding, revealing the amount of corpses, before jumping down. He explains that he drew a protection circle for the merchants back at the cave and asks who the other two people are.
Kemo starts to attack and question the Imperial Preceptor before she reveals that the Scorpion Snakes no longer listen to her. After getting violently beaten up, Xie Lian steps in and telling him to calm down. The Imperial Preceptor grabs Xie Lian's wrist all of a sudden and calls him "General Hua". Xie Lian recognizes her as a child he's met before, revealing her name to be Ban Yue.
