Not My Race (非我族类, Fēi Wǒ Zúlèi) is the 47th chapter of the manhua based on the Heaven Official's Blessing novel written by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu. It was published on the 12th of December 2020.
Summary[]
The chapter tells the backstory of High Priestess of Banyue. She was a child born at the border to a mother of Banyue and father of Yong'an. The family was frequently harrassed, thus the father soon left, her mother dying shortly after as well. She was still bullied growing up, but suddenly vanished during a rebellion at the border.
She reappeared several years later and had learned how to control the Scorpion Snakes, thus she soon became the High Priestress. One day she accompanied Kemo and his soldiers on a trip to suppress desert bandits. After they fought, the Banyue soldiers had lost many people. The priestress protected the heavily injured ones from a sandstorm and helped give the deceased a proper burial. Kemo swore loyalty to her after this, but decided to murder her after she opened the city gates for the Yong'an army during their attack. Xie Lian suspects this is why he hangs her up over the Sinner's Pit over and over again.
