Peculiar Talks Under the Crescent Moon (半月诡谈, Bànyuè Guǐ Tán) is the 27th chapter of the manhua based on the Heaven Official's Blessing novel written by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu. It was published on the 21st of March 2020.
Summary[]
Xie Lian and San Lang question the cultivator about his escape from Banyue. He explains that Banyue has become a wasteland and that at least half of travelers who go there would disappear. The cultivator is nervous when Xie Lian offers him water, but drinks it. Xie Lian confirms he is just an empty shell and tells him to stop. Suddenly the cultivator attacks Xie Lian with his sword, although Xie Lian manages to quickly flick the sword away.
The arm of the cultivator falls apart under Xie Lian's grip, and he turns to flee. San Lang takes a bamboo stick from the fortune shaker and throws it, piercing the cultivator who then falls to the ground. They examine the body, saying it was made by someone powerful because of its quality. Xie Lian enters the communication array to ask about Banyue, but the Heavenly Officials ignore him as the wind master is handing out merits again.
He exits the array but quickly gets contacted by Ling Wen who tells him not to interfere with Banyue. She says that if he still wishes to investigate, he shouldn't let the other gods know. Their conversation ends and Xie Lian tells San Lang he has to go on a journey.
