Battle of the Gods and the Ghost (Part 2) (神鬼之战 贰, Shén Guǐ Zhī Zhàn Èr) is the 18th chapter of the manhua based on the Heaven Official's Blessing novel written by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu. It was published on the 17th of January 2020.
Summary[]
Ling Wen continues to explain that the Heavenly Officials only agreed to the conditions of the battle because they were sure they could beat Hua Cheng. They ignored the promise and refused to descend, thus Hua Cheng burned all their temples within one night. The battle between him and the gods also took place in the dreams of nobles, which caused them to stop praying to the gods and instead to start praying to Hua Cheng. The Heavenly Officials vanished without a trace and were soon replaced by new ascended gods.
Ling Wen pours herself and Xie Lian tea, mentioning the two gods who didn't show up to the battle were Feng Xin and Mu Qing. She explains they just disregarded the invitation, but still frequently have battles with him. Ling Wen witnessed one and confirms how terrifying his butterflies can be, although Xie Lian thinks they are pretty cute.
The scene shifts to a butterfly flying to Paradise Manor and gently landing on Hua Cheng's finger inside. Hua Cheng looks at it while thinking about Xie Lian.
