Battle of the Gods and the Ghost (Part 1) (神鬼之战 壹, Shén Guǐ Zhī Zhàn Yī) is the 17th chapter of the manhua based on the Heaven Official's Blessing novel written by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu. It was published on the 10th of January 2020.
Summary[]
Xie Lian finds it hard to believe that Hua Cheng challenged thirty-three Heavenly Officials, but Ling Wen confirms the event actually took place. He invited thirty-five gods to a battle shortly after becoming a Supreme, although only 33 showed up in the end. The martial gods believed in their own strength and thought Hua Cheng was too inexperienced, but all of them were defeated by him and his scimitar. Afterwards, he battled the civil gods in a debate which he also won with great skill.
This was how Hua Cheng made himself a name in the Heavenly Court, although Ling Wen says the scary thing was the deal he had made with the gods. If Hua Cheng lost, he would offer his ashes to the Heavenly Officials, but if the Heavenly Officials lost, they would voluntarily descend from the heavens and become mortals.
