Summary[]
In the spiritual communication array, Feng Xin asks for Pei Ming to come see Xuan Ji and interrogate her, but Pei Xiu says she'll only become crazier if she sees him. Xie Lian asks if Qi Rong is actually on Yu Jun Mountain and Pei Xiu explains that the forest of corpses was just an offering to him by Xuan Ji as she only became a powerful ghost due to him. Feng Xin still demands for Pei Ming to show up. Xie Lian exits the array and makes his way to Ling Wen's palace.
Ling Wen confirms they will search for Lang Ying, but can't investigate the child spirit he heard yet. She thanks Xie Lian for his work and says his debt is fully repaid. Xie Lian also expresses gratitude for the two deputy generals, although Ling Wen says they descended without permission to earn merits. Xie Lian asks if she knows someone who can materialize silver butterflies, causing her to drop her scrolls. She's surpised he doesn't know and begins to tell him about the Four Calamities and the Four Famous Tales – The Crown Prince Who Pleased The Gods, The Young Lord Who Poured Wine, The General Who Broke His Sword and The Princess Who Slit Her Throat.
