Book 5 returns to the present where Book 3 left off. After Xie Lian managed to break out of the Kiln and fleed from Tonglu Mountain with all the others, the final book focuses on the truth behind the Wuyong kingdom, the fall of the Heavenly Capital in flames and the battle against White No-Face in Tonglu Mountain.
The novel ends with Xie Lian and Hua Cheng together, and concludes with the lore of blessings from worshiping the Scrap Immortal and Ghost King together.
