Summary[]
Hua Cheng shows E-Ming to Xie Lian in Paradise Manor, the sabre’s eye squints hard into a full crescent shape and its eye resembles a human’s. Hua Cheng says the sabre likes Xie Lian, in fact E-Ming likes very few people. Xie Lian pets E-Ming and it responds positively to the affection. For a while two of them discuss in detail about the weaponry.
The two of them then return to Paradise Manor’s bed chamber. Xie Lian asks the bandaged boy if he wants to stay with him to cultivate. From behind, Hua Cheng watches the boy with a cold judging look. The child says his surname is Ying, similar to Xiao Ying’s. Xie Lian names him Lang Ying, he doesn’t reject the name, meaning he accepts being in Xie Lian’s care.
Hua Cheng prepares a small feast for Xie Lian. After giving Lang Ying a few dishes, Xie Lian carelessly drinks the cup offered by Hua Cheng. However, he spits on the spot when he realizes it’s alcohol that entered his mouth. Hua Cheng apologizes for almost breaking Xie Lian’s cultivation. The woman who offered him wine is Shi Qingxuan. Hua Cheng teaches Xie Lian how to win in a dice bet, there is no trick but only luck. Hua Cheng gives Xie Lian his luck. He then gets someone to take Lang Ying away while he takes Xie Lian to the guest chamber. Hua Cheng leaves soon after, a moment later Shi Qingxuan calls Xie Lian from outside the door.
Shi Qingxuan explains he has tried for so long to find him. Xie Lian asks where Lang Qianqiu is. He answers that he won't create any trouble. Shi Qingxuan says Xie Lian is lucky to be here, the two of them wander like stray dogs without a place to stay.
Xie Lian and Shi Qingxuan sneak out of the door to see the woman statue again. He puts the two dice on the jaded plate, Xie Lian then takes them back and pushes the door. The two enter the tunnel. After a while, they encounter a cold stone wall blocking their path.
