The Black Water Demon Lair (黑水鬼域, Hēi Shuǐ Guǐ Yù) is the domain of Black Water Sinking Ships, He Xuan. It's located in the South Sea and possesses a barrier, keeping people and ships from randomly entering.
Locations[]
Sea[]
The waters make up the main part of the Black Water Demon Lair. Any ship and any wood will undoubtedly sink once it passes through the barrier. There's one exception however, coffin wood. A coffin in which a deceased person has laid in would not sink these waters.[1]
Giant skeletal ghost fish live inside the waters. They're originally so-called Arowanas, a type of lucky fish. They usually attack people on sight, but can be controlled by He Xuan. Not only that, but they have green moss on their teeth and are all poisonous.[2]
Black Water Island[]
It is an isolated island in the middle of the gloomy sea. There is a vast amount of trees that forms a thick forest, where "little things" live, according to San Lang. It has also a beach and some non-dangerous areas in the edge of the forest, where there are wild fruits. [1] [3] The Nether Water Manor is situated on this island too.
Black Water Lake[]
The Black Water Lake is a lake located in a large empty field inside a forest and is the heart of the Black Water Island.[4] The water of the lake is said to be black and abnormally cold,[2] while the surface is extremely calm without any ripples. Due to the fact that it reflects very clearly, the lake appears like a giant mirror. It is able to even show the reflection of the invisible creatures on the island.[4] By entering the lake, the Nether Water Manor and iron prison can be reached.[2]
Nether Water Manor[]
The Nether Water Manor is the residence of He Xuan. It's a black, gloomy and large palace in the deeps of the forests, but it's still quite exquisite and appears like the palace of a Heavenly Official.[2] The framework is very complex and there are many side chambers inside the manor.[5]

- Spiritual powers are blocked in this territory. [1]
- After He Xuan achieved his revenge, the curse that would make ships sink and spiritual powers useless had dispersed. [6]
