An Le (安乐, Ān Lè) was the last royal descendant of Xianle and from the same generation as Lang Qianqiu.[1]

Appearance[]

In the donghua An Le is shown to have a dark brownish hair color, his eyes are also a brown, his outer robes are yellow and his inner robes are an off-white with a blue tint.

Personality[]

While not much is known about his person, it is evident that he was remarkable at deceiving others as he was able to let Lang Qianqiu believe they were friends until even after his death.[2] He was also obsessed with revenge against Yong'an, to the point his eyes were red with passion and his voice was high with excitement when talking about it.[3]

History[]

Although An Le was of Xianle's royal blood, he mainly lived during the time Yong'an had already taken over the nation. He was allowed to carry the prince title by the king and queen of Yong'an as they wished to bring peace between the remaining Xianle people and Yong'an.[3]

An Le however had a deep hatred against Yong'an, as did many Xianle people, including Qi Rong. Under Qi Rong's instruction, he befriended Lang Qianqiu, the crown prince of Yong'an, to infiltrate his guard and make it easier for them to plot their revenge.[4][2] When Lang Qianqiu was twelve years old, An Le was also part of his kidnapping.[3]

At the Gilded Banquet, An Le and the others assassinated the nobility of Yong'an. He was the first one to stab the king, although that did not kill him.[4] After Xie Lian suddenly walked in on the massacre, An Le fled, but Xie Lian soon went after and searched for him.[4] He found An Le and wanted to warn him to never stir up such trouble again, but when An Le found out Xie Lian's true identity he asked him to join their rebellion. An Le explained that he plans on annihilating Lang Qianqiu and then wreak havoc in Yong'an with the ultimate goal to destroy the nation. Unwilling to let such a thing happen, Xie Lian killed An Le with Fang Xin then and there.[3]

After his death, Qi Rong cut open his corpse to inspect his cause of death. He discovered that An Le's organs were pulverized by Fang Xin's powerful vibrations. Thus, he had no external injuries, but kept vomiting blood until he ultimately died.[4] This was why people began to believe An Le's death was due to illness.[2]
